SITE SERVICES - MARINE
At sea, naval ships and merchant vessels are complex constructions, integrated systems designed to operate at pressure withstanding harsh conditions and extreme environments. Whether it's a battleship, a cruise liner, a VLCC or a deep sea fishing vessel, operating efficiency and personnel safety and comfort are all-important.
Increasingly our customers require support and service wherever they operate so in 2003 we developed comprehensive mobile capabilities.
Marine site work afloat
Our engineers join vessels at sea to carry out full re-tubes while ships are on passage fulfilling their commitments so their cruises, ferry crossings or container cargo movements continue on schedule.
Recent projects carried out by Heatexchangers, either as main contractors or as sub-contractors, have included fully re-tubing main condensers and evaporators in Argentina, the United States, afloat in the Mediterranean and in the English Channel.
We have done similar projects on ships dry docked in Falmouth, Newcastle, Plymouth (Devonport) and Belfast in the UK.
We procured and supplied tubing for all these projects, making Heatexchangers an important and valued customer for leading mills.
